Challenge

Poly Medicure needed rooftop solar at its Jaipur SEZ plant without putting precision medical equipment at risk or losing usable space below the roof.

  • Precision medical equipment sat directly beneath the proposed solar area, so roof leakage risk was a real concern for sensitive machinery.
  • Space below the mounting structure had to stay usable for material storage and day-to-day handling.
  • Available roof space was already tight relative to the plant's energy demand.

Solution

SolarMaxx designed a mounting approach that protected the roof and kept the floor below usable, then repeated it as capacity grew.

  • High-strength mounting structure sized for heavy wind loads
  • Clearance under the modules kept storage and daily operations running without interruption
  • Same approach refined and reapplied across three phases from 2020 through 2024 as capacity needs grew
  • Each phase under net metering (surplus credited against the grid bill), with SolarMaxx managing documentation and approvals

Outcome

A phased build gave Poly Medicure more capacity over time without stopping manufacturing.

  • 1.3 MW of rooftop solar across three phases
  • Built on a site with limited space
  • Scaled with the growing operation without disrupting it
